Dynamic force incidents are often reviewed from the end backward, while officers experience them from the beginning forward. As incidents are reconstructed after the fact, uncertainty, fragmented information, changing conditions, movement, timing pressure, and evolving resistance can unintentionally disappear from the evaluation process.
