This course is designed to provide instruction on the history of armored rescue vehicles (ARV's), deployment methods and considerations in hostile environments, tactical considerations, policy issues, terminology, and roles and responsibilities. Victim rescue, shooting platforms, and personnel and equipment delivery will be discussed in depth. Finally, several historical law enforcement incidents involving the use of ARV's will be analyzed for learning points.
