This course of instruction is designed to expose law enforcement tactical personnel to effective deployment techniques and procedures for conducting a law enforcement search for an armed suspect(s) in a wooded terrain environment. Topics to be covered include situations requiring a wooded terrain operation, individual member movement, team movement, movement formations, search strategy, counterambush techniques, Binary Search Theory, nighttime searches, weapon and equipment considerations and command and control issues.
