This one-hour webinar introduces SWAT and tactical officers to the Trauma Resiliency Protocol (TRP) and the Emotions Management Process (EMP) — powerful tools designed to heal trauma and unhealthy negative emotional patterns that are rooted in childhood or past experiences. These processes were developed and are successfully used by 22ZERO, a nonprofit organization founded in 2018 that supports veterans and first responders through peer-based programs in collaboration with government agencies, including law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, and the U.S. military.

Post-traumatic stress is not a disorder — it is an injury that will heal. Emerging research shows we’ve misunderstood PTSI. It’s not psychological; it’s neurological. Trauma “hijacks” the brain by fusing emotions with an image or series of images, which are then stored in the amygdala — the brain’s fight-or-flight center — where they remain ready and easily accessible. Intrusive thoughts can sneak into our thoughts. To strengthen your resiliency program, Critical Incident Stress Resiliency (CISR) can also be integrated for even greater impact. We continue to lose more first responders to suicide than to line-of-duty deaths. If there’s even a remote chance to prevent that outcome, isn’t it worth exploring? Imagine what your life and your family’s life would look like if the trauma were healed. You are not alone.
