Active Shooter Incident Management Basic (ASIM B)

Class size is limited to the first 30 students to insure participation in the exercises.

Active Shooter Incident Management (ASIM) Basic is a 4-hour introductory course demonstrating the ASIM Checklist integrated response process to law enforcement, fire, and EMS responders. Instructors introduce key concepts of integration and engage responders in three (3) hands-on functional exercise scenarios, enabling response practice while improving comprehension and retention. The course addresses:

  • The ASIM Checklist process
  • Staging
  • Tactical & Contact Teams
  • Casualty Collection Points
  • Triage & Rescue Task Forces (RTF)
  • Transport & Ambulance Exchange Points

  • William Godfrey - Bio
    William "Bill" Godfrey retired as Chief of the Deltona, Florida Fire Department after 25 years in the fire service. He is the CEO of C3 Pathways, a police/fire/ems training group specializing in Active Shooter Incident Management (ASIM). Bill is a lead instructor and curriculum developer for several DHS-certified national curricula and a national speaker, researcher, author, and innovator. In addition to teaching, he is the principal technology architect at C3 and directs the development of simulation and training systems.
