Erik Guzman began his law enforcement career in 2006 with the Wichita (KS) Police Department. He has served as a Patrol Officer, Community Police Officer, and Gang Intelligence Officer. In 2016, he transferred as Detective and served in the Domestic Violence/Sex Crimes, Gang/Felony Assault, and Undercover Narcotics sections. He is currently a watch supervisor at Patrol North. He has been a Crisis Negotiator Team member since 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Wichita State University. He is a Basic CNT instructor for the NTOA.
