This presentation will discuss tactical concepts used in barricaded suspects and hostage rescue operations. LAPD SWAT personnel will discuss tactical concepts and challenges, risk analysis, command and control, and more, using incident debriefs involving the Los Angeles Police Department SWAT Team to facilitate discussion.

Eduardo Perez - Bio

Officer Eduardo Perez serves with the Los Angeles Police Department and has been a police officer for 29 years. He has been on the SWAT team for 21 years and served as assistant team leader for 12 years. He has worked various assignment including patrol, gangs and Metropolitan Division.

Joe Goosby - Bio

Officer Joseph Goosby serves with the Los Angeles Police Department and has been a police officer for 24 years. He has been on the SWAT team for 12 years and served as assistant team leader. He has worked various assignments including patrol, gangs and Metropolitan Division

Eddie Roca - Bio

Officer Eddie Roca has served with the Los Angeles Police Department for 29 years. He currently serves on the SWAT team and has been an element member for seven years. He has worked various assignments including patrol, training division and Metropolitan Division.
