Incident Debrief: Broadmoor Hostage Rescue, Fort Worth, TX

This incident debrief will cover a hostage situation that occurred in Fort Worth in July 2019. The suspect held three people hostage inside a third floor apartment. During the police response, the suspect fired multiple rounds from a handgun at responding officers. The SWAT Section conducted a hostage rescue that resulted in a deadly force encounter with the suspect and no injuries to the hostages.

Todd Plowman - Bio
Lt. Todd Plowman has been on the Fort Worth Police Department for 30 years. He has 16 years of SWAT experience as a team sergeant and in his current assignment as the SWAT Commander.

Christopher Bookwalter - Bio
Corporal Chris Bookwalter has been a Fort Worth Police Officer for 16 years. His previous assignments include Patrol, Field Training Officer, as well as a Directed Patrol team focusing on street crimes, surveillance, and fugitive apprehension. He has been assigned to the SWAT Section for over six years as a Team Leader.
