On Sept. 2, 2016, Detective Dan Brite responded to a call in Parker, Colorado. A local man was heavily armed and firing randomly at citizens in the community. In that moment, Dan and fellow officers heroically rushed to the scene and quickly engaged the suspect. In the firefight, Dan was critically injured when a bullet struck him in the chest. Dan "died"... twice. His chance of survival was less than 1%. Thanks to the wonderful staff at a nearby hospital, and lots of prayers, Detective Brite lived to tell his story.
