Mental Health and Law Enforcement

By sharing his personal story of living with depression and working as a law enforcement officer for 20 years, Kyle Dooley will help students understand the importance of officer self-care, for themselves and for their families. Students will learn how to overcome the common barriers and stressors that traditionally haunt the law enforcement culture and prevent officers from seeking treatment.

Kyle Dooley - Bio
Kyle Dooley began his law enforcement career in 1999 and in 2004 he was hired by the City of Lake Saint Louis. In 2010, he became the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Liaison for LSLPD. In 2012, he became the Training Coordinator for the Great Rivers CIT program that serves Saint Charles, Lincoln, Warren and Pike counties. In 2016, Kyle accepted a full time position with NAMI-STL, to support the four CIT programs that serve seven Missouri counties.
