This presentation describes a negotiation with a suspect who was high on drugs and had broken into his girlfriend's house with a gun. The negotiation lasted eight hours and used several means of communications and two different negotiations teams. The suspect burned down the house in the middle of the negotiations. This case was a unified command effort involving police, fire and multiple cities. This presentation covers many changing dynamics that occurred during negotiations.
