The presenter will draw on personal and professional experiences in working with people on the Autism Spectrum. He will provide a history of Autism and offer tips, ideas, and considerations, as well as what to expect in conversation and negotiation with them.

Topics covered include: How the Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis evolved and came to be recognized as it is today; signs, symbols, and symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder to look out for before and during encounters; different tips and tricks on how to communicate with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder in crisis.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is an ever-evolving diagnosis with some similarities between people diagnosed with it. However, "If you have met one person with Autism, you have met one person with Autism."

Prior to entering law enforcement, Trenton Roth spent nearly 10 years working with individuals with special needs and mental health conditions in residential school and hospital settings. In 2018, he joined the Wichita Police Department, became a member of the department's Crisis Negotiation Team in 2023, and was promoted to detective in 2024. Roth is married to a spouse diagnosed with ADHD and bipolar disorder and is the father of four children, three of whom are on the autism spectrum. Trenton Roth holds a bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State University.

Prior to entering law enforcement, Kameron Evans worked in retail management, healthcare, and childcare. In 2021, Evans joined the Wichita Police Department and became a member of the department’s Crisis Negotiation Team in 2025. Evans is married to a spouse on the autism spectrum and has two children. Kameron graduated from Goddard High School.
