He is a Master Credentialed Chaplain and Instructor with the International Conference of Police Chaplains, Deployment Chaplain with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team for Law Enforcement and Samaritan's Purse, and Instructor for the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Service and Virginia's Crisis Intervention Team Coalition.

Master Officer Danny Jackson joined the James City County Police Department in 2006. In 2014 he joined the crisis negotiations team. He became the training coordinator in 2016 and the deputy commander in 2018, a position he still holds. Jackson earned a bachelor of science from Old Dominion University and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
