December 27th, 2022, patrol officers responded to 2700 Gabriel View in Georgetown, Texas. The caller, a 13-year-old female, advised that her step-father, who does not live at the residence, snuck into the house with a flashlight, wearing all black and a ski mask. The male had taken an adult female hostage. Dispatch also reported that the suspect had been in a standoff with a neighboring city over the Thanksgiving weekend. The Central Texas Regional SWAT team responded. The presenter will discuss how an Immediate Action Team confronted multiple challenges and the lessons learned during this incident.

Lt. Wyatt Raley began his law enforcement career in 2004. In 2008, he began working as a police officer in Georgetown, Texas, where he currently still works. He has held positions within the agency, including patrol officer, field training officer, patrol sergeant, patrol lieutenant, and is currently the agency's administrative lieutenant. Raley has been a part of a SWAT team since 2009, serving as an entry team member and sniper. In 2015, surrounding agencies, including Georgetown, dissolved their existing teams to create a regional team. With the regional team, Raley served as the sniper team leader and eventually took a command spot in 2022. He currently serves as the lead commander for the Central Texas Regional SWAT Team.
