Lieutenant Patrick Hilliker Lt. Patrick Hilliker has 30 years of experience with the Pima County Sheriff's Department, including three years with the Corrections Bureau. He was accepted into the Pima Regional Special Weapons and Tactics Team in 2001 and promoted to Sergeant in 2006. From 2008 to 2012, he served as the full-time Lead Sergeant of the SWAT Team. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2021, initially serving as the Force Commander for a year and a half. In September 2022, He was assigned as the Commander of the Tactical Response Section, overseeing the SWAT Team, Bomb Squad, K9 Unit, Air Unit, and Search and Rescue Unit. He has managed, trained, and evaluated large units and teams, with a focus on developing methods to enhance performance and proficiency. Additionally, he has managed and coordinated large-scale incidents and events involving members of other agencies. Wolf has served with the Colorado Springs Police Department since 1992 and currently supervises the Tactical Enforcement Unit, Canine Unit, and Unmanned Aerial Support Unit within the Specialized Enforcement Division. His career began in the Sand Creek and Falcon Divisions before moving to Metro VNI in 1997, where he investigated street-level narcotics trafficking. In 2000, he joined the full-time Tactical Enforcement Unit as an operator, serving in various roles, including Counter Sniper, Rear Containment Leader, Training Officer, Range Officer, and PTO. He has participated in more than 4,000 tactical operations, including hostage rescues, high-risk warrants, natural disaster responses, and Presidential security details. Promoted to sergeant in 2014, he briefly served in Patrol before returning to TEU in 2015 to lead high-risk operations. Since 2007, Wolf has been a certified instructor with the National Tactical Officers Association, teaching courses including Active Shooter, Basic and Advanced SWAT, Hostage Rescue, High-Risk Warrant Service, and Team Leader, and has presented two debriefs at the NTOA National Conference. His service has been recognized with numerous honors, including a Distinguished Service Award, seven Medals of Valor, a Police Star, 23 Department Commendations, 19 Letters of Appreciation, and four Ace Awards.
